As part of our Catholic Community of Caring, every St. Matthew student had his or her best part photographed and each student wrote about why he or she chose this part. This was a wonderful cross-curricular activity, engaging the Health, Language Arts, and ICT outcomes. Thanks to Mrs. LeClair for her incredible photographs!

Lent 2013
We are on our Lenten Journey:
- Counting and colouring each day on our Lenten pathway
- Caring for our Easter garden, watering it and watching it grow with us as we journey to Easter Sunday
- Learning about the Easter Story through our Resurrection Eggs
- Reading many stories that show different points of view, depictions and traditions:
- Humphrey's First Palm Sunday (we met Humphrey at Epiphany when he gave up his caravan blanket for the Baby Jesus...)
- The Legend of the Easter Robin (how the robin came to have a red chest)
- Rechenka's Eggs (Ukrainian tradition of pysanky)
- The Legend of the Easter Lily (resurrection and new life)
- The Legend of the Three Trees (manger, boat, cross)
